Fun fact: my first job out of college was selling paper for Wallace Computer Services. Yes, really. I tell my kids I was the original Office!

My love of travel is all Dad's fault. He worked in film, and every year he packed us up for a trip: Canada, Colorado, Martha's Vineyard. For our high school graduation gift, he took us all to Europe for a few weeks. I got to tag along to his trade show in Montreux, Switzerland, in 1989 and saw the very first HD TV. It was amazing, and I was hooked.

Fast forward to 1995. I wanted to be home with my kids, I spotted an ad in the paper for a weekend travel agent class, and I thought, why not? That weekend turned into Susan's Travel Services, right here in Cave Creek.

Those first few years were a blast. I sold airline tickets and actually made money on them! (Remember when that was a thing?) Then the airlines stopped paying commissions, Y2K had everyone panicking, and 9/11 turned travel upside down. Crazy times.

So I switched to Mexico and cruises. Fun, easy trips. I've now been to Cancun more than 80 times. Eighty! It was great, but honestly, that's just too much Cancun.
