South Pacific
Honeymoons
A first trip together, planned so the only decisions left are the easy ones.
You've just planned a wedding. This part should feel different. Tell me how you picture it: a bungalow over the lagoon, a private island, a road trip through wine country, or a little of everything. I'll handle the flights, transfers, timing and the small details, so all you have to do is be there.

Four ways to begin

Tahiti & Bora Bora
Bungalows over a turquoise lagoon, Mount Otemanu in the background, and Moorea a short hop away.
Best: May–October.

Fiji
Private-island resorts, the warmest welcome in the Pacific, reefs right off the beach and seaplane hops between islands.
Best: May–October.

Australia & New Zealand
For couples who want a journey: Sydney, the Great Barrier Reef, Queenstown's lakes and vineyards, Milford Sound.
Best: October–April.
Hawaii
No passport and short flights from the mainland, with very different islands to choose from: Maui, Kauai and the Big Island.
Good all year; drier April–October.
How I plan a honeymoon
- 1
A call.
About 30 minutes on how you like to travel, what you'd skip, and what would make this trip feel like yours. One thing to think about first: would you rather move between a few islands, or settle into one place and stay put?
- 2
An itinerary built for two.
Places to stay, the order of stops and time to rest, all in one clear plan.
- 3
Looked after while you're away.
As a Virtuoso Member, I can often add perks at partner hotels, such as upgrades when available and resort credits. And I'm a message away the whole trip.
The small things, handled
Transfer times that match your flights. A quiet first night after a long flight. The hotel told it's your honeymoon before you arrive. A dinner reservation you didn't have to remember to make.
Pairing destinations
Moorea then Bora Bora · Sydney with a Fiji stop on the way home · Maui and Kauai · New Zealand's South Island and the reef
Questions couples ask
Where do we start?
Book a call. You don't need to prepare anything or know where you want to go yet.
How far ahead should we book?
For overwater bungalows in peak season, 9–12 months is ideal. For most other trips, 4–6 months is plenty.
Can we leave right after the wedding?
Yes. I'll plan around your date and build in a rest day if you want one.
Do you only plan the South Pacific?
The South Pacific is my specialty. If you're dreaming of a safari honeymoon instead, Susan has been planning safaris since 1995.
