Big cities first, then the quiet coast

You start with Miami and a day in New York, then the ship slows way down. Lobster in Maine. The Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia. Red cliffs and long beaches on islands that rarely show up on a cruise itinerary.

Why this one? It's a beautiful way to stay close to the United States, on one of the best ships around, and see the coast AND Canada in a single trip.

Come join us for this one!

And you come home every night to an ocean-front suite with its own terrace, a ship that holds fewer than 1,000 guests, and drinks, Wi-Fi and gratuities already covered.

Itinerary

Thirteen days, 6 ports of call

Day 1

Sat, May 6

Miami, Florida

Departs 8:00 PM

Board in the evening and sail out past South Beach. With an 8 PM departure, I'd fly in the night before and enjoy a slow day in Miami. That's how we plan it for you.

Day 2

Sun, May 7

At sea

A full day to settle in: the spa, the pools, a long lunch on deck.

Day 3

Mon, May 8

At sea

Another easy day. Book a class at the Chef's Kitchen or just stay on your terrace.

Day 4

Tue, May 9

New York City

9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

One full day in Manhattan. Pick your one thing: MoMA, the 9/11 Memorial, a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, or a helicopter over the skyline.

Day 5

Wed, May 10

At sea

Cruising north along the New England coast.

Day 6

Thu, May 11

Portland, Maine

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Lighthouses, the Old Port's brick streets and a lobster roll for lunch. Portland Head Light is a short drive away.

Day 7

Fri, May 12

At sea

Crossing into Canadian waters.

Day 8

Sat, May 13

Sydney, Nova Scotia

6:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The gateway to Cape Breton and a stretch of the Cabot Trail. Yes, the world's largest fiddle is right on the waterfront.

Day 9

Sun, May 14

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

A small capital with red-brick streets and a working harbor. Take a coastal drive to see PEI's famous red shoreline.

Day 10

Mon, May 15

Magdalen Islands, Quebec

8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

A string of 8 islands in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, French-speaking, with about 200 miles of beaches and red sandstone cliffs. The lobster here is a point of local pride.

Day 11

Tue, May 16

Gaspé, Quebec

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The tip of the Gaspé Peninsula: sea cliffs, lighthouses and Forillon National Park. Keep an eye out for moose and gannets.

Day 12

Wed, May 17

At sea

Sailing up the St. Lawrence toward Quebec City.

Day 13

Thu, May 18

Quebec City, Quebec

Arrives 7:00 AM

Disembark in Quebec City. Stay a few nights for Old Quebec's stone streets, bistros and Montmorency Falls. We'll set up your post-cruise hotel.
